Stuart Fox

Prestolee Multi-Academy Trust Member

My name is Stuart Fox & I’ve been a member for three years now. Prior to this I was Chair of Trustees at the Prestolee MAT. Work constraints found me unable to give the time necessary to do justice of the role of director so I stepped down after 10 years of service. Having dealt with all elements of MAT directorship I am perfectly placed to oversee the Trust, ensuring we are performing well & meeting all the requirements of a MAT.

My association with Prestolee started when I moved into the area & started a family 20 years ago. Both of my children went through Prestolee Primary & thrived. I have always had an affinity with Prestolee & continue to ensure that the school, & now the Trust as a whole performs to the very best standards.

I am a retired Greater Manchester Police officer. I worked on the Bury Division for 30 years. I had the good fortune to be a Community Governor at Radcliffe Primary School for several years in the early 2000’s, where I was responsible for discipline and diversity.

I have lived in Prestolee for the last 30 years with my wife Angela. During my spare time I enjoy reading books , films and travel. I am very interested in modern history and attempting to play golf.

I have two grown up daughters who both attended Prestolee Primary School between 2005-2014. During this time I was always keen to know how the school was performing and I am very glad of the opportunity to continue to help the school as a Friend of the Trust.
